CEHANDBOOK.COM has a goldmine of information, starting with an overview of professional and technical contracting and consulting, how to negotiate rates, how to polish a resume, what to expect when working with a broker, and many other topics having to do with setting up and running a consulting business should you decide to go off on your own.

One of the most important documents in the handbook is the Contractor's Bill of Rights. This is a set of ethical standards and business practices which the most responsible staffing companies and contract brokers have agreed to follow.
